Berghen
In 1993, the VankeerBERGHEN family dreamed of developing a Belgian hiking shoe brand produced exclusively in Europe. For nearly 30 years, Berghen® has been providing families with quality products. Always concerned about product quality, the brand works closely with Italian specialists and ensures that production in Europe continues to grow in a stable and sustainable way. The teams' attention is focused on the quality of materials, solidity and design, while maintaining a very competitive quality/price ratio. Now Berghen® offers a complete range of hiking boots from level A to C, for the whole family.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BREAKING IN SHOES
When you buy a new pair of hiking shoes, you need to “break them in” so that they become flexible and conform to the shape of your foot.
If you have a new pair of shoes, try a few short outings before embarking on a long hike or trek.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY HIKING SHOES?
Follow these steps to maintain your shoes:
1. The insole
The first step is to remove the insole and place newspaper or silica crystals inside the shoe to absorb perspiration. This also reduces the growth of odor-causing bacteria in your shoes.
Tip: You can put silica litter in a sock and then place it in the shoe, this is effective and reusable.
2. Cleaning the upper
We recommend cleaning the uppers of your shoes with a cloth soaked in warm water and letting them dry in a dry place.
If you have been walking in mud, wait for it to dry and brush your shoes to remove excess dirt, then wipe them with a damp cloth.
3. The outsole
Don't forget the outsole. Brush it and don't forget to remove gravel or grit stuck in the raised parts of the sole. This will keep the sole in good condition.
