How it all began

A creative journey that changes how we look at everyday essentials.

The Cardprotector was launched in 2009, but our Secrid journey began more than a decade earlier. In the 1990s, we had our own design firm called Spirid. At the time, we noticed that the contents of our pockets changed when the first electronic payment systems were introduced in the Netherlands. In 1995, when cash gave way to payment cards, we created our first wallet: the Secrid Bodycard.
