The Levi's brand was founded in 1873 by Mr. Levi Strauss. He had found a new way to make sturdier pants for workmen. In doing so, they also applied for their patent for “blue jeans.” At that time, jeans pants had only 1 back pocket. In 1901 it changed to 2 back pockets and this at the request of customers.
