The Levi's brand was founded in 1873 by Mr. Levi Strauss. He had found a new way to make sturdier pants for workmen. In doing so, they also applied for their patent for “blue jeans.” At that time, jeans pants had only 1 back pocket. In 1901 it changed to 2 back pockets and this at the request of customers. The famous levi's logo has been on the items since 1936. This is to distinguish itself from the other brands. Belgium played a big role for the breakthrough in Europe. In the years that followed, Levi's expanded its range to include shoes and accessories.
