Saucony

Saucony originated in Pennsylvania on the Saucony Creek and began manufacturing sneakers for children and adults. It wasn't until 1968, after an acquisition, that the company launched running shoes. The brand gained prominence in the 1980s thanks to the success of the New York and Boston marathons.

The word Saucony comes from the word “saconk” from the language of the Lenni Lenape Indians. It means “meaning a meeting of two rivers. The logo was inspired by the Saucony Creek, a river in Pennsylvania.
