Lacoste

This French company was founded by tennis player René Lacoste and close friend André Gillier, owner of a textile company. Mr. Lacoste's nickname was “le crocodille,” which is why they chose a green crocodile as their brand logo. Early on, the brand specialized in tennis apparel. Over the years, Lacoste has become a versatile brand with influences still from the tennis world but with a more casual look. For example, Novak Djokovic often models for the Lacoste collections and also wears Lacoste outfits during tennis matches.
